Under God's Umbrella We Will Achieve Together

Welcome to Little Patricks.

Mrs Marston and Mrs Rivett would like to say a big warm welcome to all the children and their families at the start of this school year. We are really looking forward to working with you all.

We will be doing a cooking activity each week and find the children really enjoy tasting and making a variety of foods. Please could we ask for £1.00 donation towards this for ingredients?

Thank you for your support

Mrs Marston and Mrs Rivett

Let's Celebrate 31.10.16-16.12.16

Hello and welcome back to our 2nd half term where we are looking at lots of Autumn and Winter celebrations. We have had lots of fun learning about Diwali and Bonfire Night. We made fantastic firework pictures using chalks, glue and glitter. We have also thought about our own personal celebrations -Our Birthdays!

We have been very busy this week (14.11.16) having a big change around of our furniture and toys. We had some lovely new mats to sit on too and we think it looks great.

We are starting to think about our very special time of year- Christmas. We will soon be getting busy practising for our Christmas Nativity and making lots of beautiful and sparkly things to bring home.

Summer 1   24.04.17 - 26.05.17

Welcome back to the new summer term, we are looking forward to working with you and your children. Our topic this half term is " Splash". We will be looking at under the sea, sea animals, the beach and seaside, and pirates.

We will be making some lovely food to try, bubble painting and painting lots of fish to make an under the sea display.

We are hoping to have and end of term treat, and visit the fish and chip shop, and have a "day at St Patricks beach" with some sand and water play in the garden, and even an ice cream! Watch this space...

All About Me! 5.09.16- 21.10.16

Our first topic this half term is All About Me, where we learn all about our children and their interests and families. We have settled in very well and have been enjoying cooking already. We've made cakes and pizzas. We are going to make people biscuits this week (30.09.16) Yum Yum!

We have been busy painting our hands too, to make a lovely Little Patrick's Family Tree.

Come Outside 4.01.17- 17.02.17

A very warm welcome back to this first half term of Spring. We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

This half term our topic is Come Outside. We have been busy looking at the weather and making a lovely display about the wind. We have also made kite toast and been on the playground with ribbons to see them blowing in the wind. We have watched the educational programme called Come Outside (with Auntie Mabel and Pippin) They go on lots of adventures and we will be using this as a tool to introduce our weekly theme. Next week we are looking at the rain (or maybe it will be snow!) and we have lots of lovely things planned for cooking.

Spring 2  27.02.17- 07.04.17

Welcome back to all of our children and families. Our exciting topic this half term is 'Traditional Tales'. We will be listening to stories such as Little Red Riding Hood, The Three Little Pigs and The Tiger Who Came To Tea. We have started our topic with Jack and the Beanstalk. We have planted beans that may grow as big as the one in  the story!

We celebrated Pancake day, by making our own pancakes and eating them, YUMMY!

We had a lovely time participating in World Book Day. We dressed up as our favourite characters or came to school in our pyjamas. We enjoyed bedtime stories, hot chocolate and biscuits. What a treat.

Mrs Sherratt came to Little Patricks for afternoon tea. We posted an invite and received a reply to say Mrs Sherratt would love to come and that She really likes cake and tea! We enjoyed cake and scones that the children had made. It was a lovely afternoon.
